She creates a very home-y, welcoming atmosphere and we found that there was a perfect balance between learning about Ayurvedic nutritional theory and getting to apply this new knowledge in the kitchen. The food is delicious and Susan is an awesome, really lovely person to spend the day with. We enjoyed chatting with her about her experiences in India as much as we did devouring the magical meal.

The take home information she provides (recipes, personalized dosha food charts) are great for feeling set up to apply what you've learned back home.

  Susan is a highly knowledgeable, compassionate and infinitely realistic Ayurveda teacher. She is non-corporate and homespun to the core. Studying Ayurveda with her while in Auroville... read more and then remotely has been an immense growth experience.

Little did I know that upon leaving Auroville that the pandemic was right around the corner. When I returned home, she gave me weekly assignments (that didn't take too much time) and helped me apply practical take-aways to my life. Consequently, my health and overall outlook greatly improved. Here's how:

*Improved sleep and digestion;
*Easy, healthy, everyday recipes that leave me feeling nourished and satiated;
*Lost five pounds;
*Brighter eyes;
*Clarity as to my purpose in life, at a particular cross-roads;
*Creation of a daily routine that is doable and effective;
*An enthusiasm that everyone in my life can see.

Of course, you can learn with Susan if you are in Auroville. But, really, you can learn with her from anywhere in the world. That being said, you might just want to take off for South India....once the pandemic is over.
